Jenny Lupton

Jenny Lupton

Principal Manager

I’ve been a member of the Artistic Committee since 2018 as Team Leader of the RollArt Steering Committee.  Working alongside our Officials Convenors and Technical Experts to implement the World Skate RollArt Scoring System.  During this time, I’ve learn’t so much from Leigh, Di, Tony, Raewyn and Pam.  Now that the Committee has completed what it was set up to do – was disbanded in July 2023, I’ve taken up the opportunity to be appointed as the Principal Manager under the new structure. It is my pleasure to serve and work further with the Chief Officials to grow the Officials community, ready for all future challenges and opportunities.

Officials Convenor

I have been a member of the Aristic Committee since 2018 and previously was the Assistant Officials Convenor supporting Leigh in her role as Officials Convenor.  During this time I learnt alot from Leigh and look forward to working with the Chief Officials to help with the continued growth of a sustainable community of Officials.

Chief Referee

I served on the Artistic Committee for over 20 years as the Officials Convenor.  During this time I oversaw the training and commissioning of NZ Officials (includes Judges, Calculators, Marshalls and Announcers), and prepare examinations as required. My other responsibilities included approving and/or preparing judging panels for Area, National and NZ hosted Oceania competitions. I recently retired from the Committee after 20 years of service.  I have held International A judges commission since 1990 and position of NZ Chief Referee since 1994.  I am a current member of the Oceania Artistic Technical Committee (OATC).

Chief Calculator

My involvement with rollerskating began in 1985 when 2 year old daughter joined a learn to skate class in Scotland. This quickly developed into a club and subsequent
children got skates on as soon as they could walk! We moved to NZ in 1992, joined the local club where all 3 children continued to skate. At a seminar in Tokoroa, I was
introduced to calculating and continued on gaining my International commission in 2004. I  was made Chief
Calculator on the retiral of Liz Innes.
I was on the organising committee for the World Championships in Auckland in 2012.
In 2021 I was honoured to receive a Queen’s Service Medal for services to women and to
rollersports.
When RollArt was introduced, I became interested in data entry and continue in both roles. We’ve combined data entry with calculating so with both qualifications, clubs can reduce the number of people required to officiate at local competitions.

Eileen Mills

Eileen Mills

Chief Announcer

I have been involved with skating since first putting skates on as a 5 year old at Bell Hall, Manawatu Showgrounds, and they have never really come off since then.  I have competed at National and International levels; been a skating Mum and Coach when my own children skated; presently Coach at our local Club and about 10 years ago became involved in announcing.  My first announcing experience, on my own, with no microphone, was at an Area League competition being held in Hastings. I love my role as an announcer and now looking forward to taking on this new role as Chief Announcer. I am President of the Hastings Skating Club and Central Area Secretary.

Chief Marshall

I am a Mum of skaters who likes to be busy.  As a family we have been involved in the skating world for ten years.  I enjoy watching everyone skate and love to be in the marshalling area.  I appreciate this as a space of multiple emotions and I like to support the skaters through these.  This is how I found myself as chief marshall. I endeavour to make this area fun and comfortable for all.  It is a privilege to be involved in this sport
